How do I calculate square footage?
Multiply length by width in feet. For a 12 ft by 14 ft room that is 168 sq ft. For odd shapes, split the space into rectangles, triangles or circles, work out each and add them.
How do I convert inches to feet?
Divide inches by 12. 14 ft 6 in is 14.5 ft; 9 ft 3 in is 9.25 ft.
How do I find the square footage of an L-shaped room?
Split it into two rectangles along one inside corner, calculate each and add them. Alternatively, calculate the full outer rectangle and subtract the missing notch; both give the same answer.
How many square feet in a square yard or meter?
