⚠️ Common Tiling Mistakes to Avoid
❌ Not Ordering Enough
Always add 10-20% waste. Tiles get discontinued, so you can't always reorder the same batch later.
❌ Ignoring Pattern Direction
Diagonal and herringbone patterns require more waste. Use our pattern preview to plan correctly.
❌ Wrong Thinset Type
Large tiles (>12") need medium-bed mortar. Small tiles work with standard thinset. Check manufacturer specs.
❌ Skipping Layout Planning
Start from the center of the room and work outward. This ensures balanced cuts on all edges.
